Kevin:

A physician is not without rights under the NPDB rules respecting the reporting process.  If a physician believes an NPDB report should not have been filed or that the report filed is inaccurate, there is a process for challenging the report.  If his attempts to resolve the issue with the reporting entity fail, NPDB rules allow an administrative process that, if successful, will require the reporting entity to either remove the report or correct it.
